Our Education, Skilling & Mentorship program addresses the critical educational gaps in Busia County through a holistic approach that combines formal education support with practical skills development and lifelong mentorship.
We believe every young person deserves access to quality education and the tools to build a successful future, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our Programs
- Joint development and implementation of education-based programs such as mentorship, life skills training, career guidance, and counseling.
- Partnering in the provision of bursaries/scholarships and learning materials to vulnerable learners, especially in marginalized areas.
- Organizing capacity-building sessions and youth leadership boot camps aimed at nurturing responsible, confident, and innovative future leaders.
- Supporting out-of-school youth with vocational and technical training through linkages with youth polytechnics, Mastercrafts people/ centres, and TVET institutions.
- Jointly promote digital literacy and ICT access in rural and marginalized areas.
- Collaborate to support school-to-work transition through internships and apprenticeships.
- Promote the establishment of childcare facilities within learning institutions to support young parents, especially teen mothers, and create a conducive environment for continued education.
- Work together to assist teen, young mothers and Youths to return to school or gain practical skills (reintegration).
- Partner in promoting community service learning where youth apply their skills locally.
- Co-design training on entrepreneurship, savings culture, and digital business.
